High Wind. The high winds were measured by the AWOS at the Hallock airport. The winds also helped knock out the power to the AWOS.

Tornado. This tornado snapped or uprooted numerous trees along its path. Several farm outbuildings, steel grain bins, and a steel pole shed were completely destroyed. One farmstead sized wooden grain elevator was completely dismantled and sections of it were thrown dozens of yards. Multiple power poles were snapped at different locations. Peak winds were estimated at 130 mph.

Thunderstorm Wind. Two large commercial grade steel bins and their horizontal transfer system were torn out from the city grain elevator facility and were splayed to the east, partially blocking U. S. Highway 75. Several wooden power poles in the area were also snapped. Numerous large trees and tree limbs were torn down around the community and most homes sustained shingle, roofing and siding damage.
