Winter Storm. Precipitation started as rain during the afternoon of January 24th before changing over to snow during the late afternoon, with the snow then continuing into the morning of January 25th. Widespread snow amounts between 3.5 and 6 inches fell across the county. A public report of a measured storm total of 5.8 inches of snow was received from Waynesville, with a measured 3.5 inches in Saint Robert. Roads became snow covered and slippery. Around 400 power outages also occurred across the county due to the heavy snow. Some schools had early release on January 24th, with numerous schools closed on January 25th and January 26th.

During the morning hours, the tail end of a mesoscale convective complex moved southeastward from the Central Plains into central and south-central Missouri through the early afternoon. Heavy rain fell in a band from Warsaw through Marshfield to Gainesville, with accumulations of one to two inches. Isolated reports of thunderstorm wind damage to trees and power lines were received from Camden, Pulaski, Ozark, and Phelps counties.
