Power Outage in Eagle Rock, MO

Thunderstorm Wind. A few barns and outbuildings suffered minor to moderate damage and at least one power pole was broken. Power lines were reported laying on the road at the intersection of Highways 37 and BB.

Winter Storm. Rain changed to snow across the county during the afternoon hours of January 24th, with the snow then continuing into the morning of January 25th. Widespread snow amounts between 4 and 6 inches fell across the county. A CoCoRaHS report of a measured storm total of 6.4 inches of snow was received from 5 miles SSE of Cassville, with a measured 6.0 inches 5 miles NW of Eagle Rock and 5.0 inches in Washburn. Roads became snow covered and slippery, with a one vehicle injury accident occurring on Highway 76 at Lohmer as a car slid off the road into a ditch and overturned. Around 50 power outages also occurred across the county due to the heavy snow. Some schools had early release on January 24th, with numerous schools closed on January 25th.
