Power Outage in Moberly, MO

Winter Storm. Light to moderate freezing rain formed early morning on New Year's Day. This freezing rain quickly accreted between a quarter to three quarters inch before sunrise. Shortly after sunrise the freezing rain switched to light snow, which persisted for the bulk of the remaining day time hours. The snow did not accumulate more than 1 to 3 inches, but on top of the ice accretion created winter storm conditions. Mostly scattered power outages and vehicle accidents were the impacts, but being a holiday, road traffic was likely light.

Thunderstorm Wind. Reports of tree limbs down on power lines, power outages and road signs blown down around Moberly. It was localized to an area along US-24 from Hunstville to the area of Holeman Rd and US-24 in Moberly including the area north of Rothewell Park.

Numerous thunderstorms formed in the evening and night time hours on August 16. Large hail between 1 and 1.75 inch was reported, along with 60 to 70 mph winds. Most of the damage was relegated to tree, power line, and some minor structure damage.
