Gusty southwest winds occurred this afternoon ahead of an approaching cold front. These winds, at times gusting up to 40-45 mph, led to isolated damage southwest of Monticello in Wayne County. Fallen trees took down power lines on Kentucky Highway 1009 between Jennings Hollow Road and Kentucky Highway 200, resulting in the closure of the road late this afternoon into the evening.
