West Plains, MO. - A one vehicle accident caused a power outage on Porter Wagoner Boulevard in West Plains on Thursday morning. A flat bed truck equipped with a boom and carrying a concrete storm shelter struck a power line, causing one power pole to snap in half and another to break. The vehicle was leaving the Stuart Morrison-Redi Mix facility on Porter Wagoner. The outage is effecting a few business on the road including Snappy Mart, Century 21, and Pizza Shack. Jeff Hanshaw, Public Works director for West Plains, said he believed that the power should be restored in a couple of hours.
