Recent Weather Related Causes of Power Outages in Grenada County

Thunderstorm Wind. A line of severe thunderstorms produced a swath of 70-75mph winds across central and western portions of Grenada County on the afternoon of May 4th. Numerous trees and power lines were downed along with a shed that had its roof torn off. In particular, much of this damage occurred in the Sweethome community where some of this wind damage created a swath of three to four miles long and a mile wide.
