Brookneal family fighting to keep emotional support chickens | WSET
A Campbell County family is fighting to keep their pet chickens, after receiving a violation notice. These aren't just any chickens though, they said they're emotional support chickens. The family lives in the Town of Brookneal and has six emotional support chickens for their daughter. However, according to town administration, the law is clear: you can't keep chickens on your property. John Gill and Serena Defrancisco said their daughter has a special bond with her chickens.
