Nehawka Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
A tornado uprooted large trees and downed transmission towers from around Nehawka to near Union. Two houses sustained major damage and "heavy damage" was reported to 30 other houses. Some of the damage could have also been caused by straight line winds that occurred across parts of the area shortly before the reported time of the tornado. The strong winds also knocked power out across most of Union. The track of the tornado was around 4 miles long and was spawned from the same supercell complex that produced the long tracked f4 tornado earlier which caused extensive damage in the Hallam area.
