Neosho Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
Trees were uprooted, power lines downed and a carport was destroyed at the intersection of Aspen and Pepsin Roads. In addition a poultry barn suffered damage resulting in a significant number of dead poultry.
High winds caused significant damage to a barn and other outbuildings. Power outages were also reported.
Two power poles, a few trees and numerous limbs were reported down.
Law enforcement reported a measured wind gust of 61mph along with power outages in town.
Episodes
50 to 60 mph winds blew down several power poles and dropped dime size hail around Neosho.
A tornado had an intermittent path from one mile west of Diamond, to approximately two miles north of Diamond. Minor damage occurred to an outbuilding, plus trees and power lines were blown down.
The neighborhood's hardest hit area was behind the Seneca elementary school, and along Sherry street. Homes and local businesses were damaged due to uprooted trees and power lines.
A tornado had an intermittent track from 8 miles south southwest of Neosho, to 3 miles southwest of Boulder City. A log home and a drilling company were completely destroyed, plus numerous outbuildings, sustained considerable damage. Over 100 trees and power lines were uprooted along the tornado's track.
Numerous power lines and trees were blown down around Neosho.
