Daily rounds of showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall elevated the flooding threat over many areas of New Mexico. The persistent wet pattern that began at the end of April and continued through May did not let up during June. Slow-moving thunderstorms around Santa Fe County created minor flooding during the early afternoon around Pojoaque. Another cluster of thunderstorms around Las Vegas prompted flash flood warnings around 5pm. A powerful storm with torrential rainfall slammed the Conchas Dam area and damaged several roads.

Strong thunderstorms with heavy rainfall developed along the Continental Divide early on the 29th and pushed slowly east toward the Rio Grande Valley through the evening hours. Several strong cells produced hail over portions of the area. Nickel size hail and heavy rain impacted Arroyo Seco. Hail was also reported near Las Vegas and Moriarty. A powerful storm near Abiquiu produced torrential rainfall, flooding, and damaging hail.
