Hail. Large hail and strong winds produced heavy damage to a residence eight miles east-southeast of Solano. Golf ball size hail and 75 mph were reported. Windows were busted out of. A power pole was broken off at the base. A 12 inch diameter tree limb was snapped off the tree. The large hail piled up three to four inches deep.

High winds developed across northeast sections of the state and also in the middle Rio Grande Valley where falling trees or limbs knocked down power lines serving about 5000 customers in Albuquerque and the nearby Sandia Mountain communities.

Heavy snow developed from the north central mountains eastward into the far northeast plains. Chama reported 10 to 12 inches of wet snow which downed power lines and tree limbs causing electrical outages lasting nearly 24 hours. Satellite trends and local observations indicated a 4 inch blanket across Mora County and north and northeast to Raton and Clayton. Ski areas of Taos County received a welcome 12 to 15 inches of fresh powder.
