Power Outage in Manhattan, NV

Thunderstorm Wind. Winds from decaying thunderstorms to the north swept south across Nye County. Visibility was reduced to less than a quarter mile in dust storm conditions 10 miles WSW of Amargosa Valley, where tree limbs blew down and power was knocked out.

Thunderstorm Wind. Three stations recorded gusts of 58 to 68 mph. Trees and power lines were blown down and awnings torn from homes from Crystal Road through central Pahrump.

Lightning. Lightning struck three power poles in Amargosa Valley.

Lightning. Lightning struck and set fire to two power poles along Highway 95 at Nye County mile marker 79. Rain extinguished the fire.

Thunderstorm Wind. A tree blew down and landed on power lines, a tent was torn down, a car was flipped over, siding was torn off the Salvation Army building, and a picnic table was thrown over a car.
