Thunderstorm Wind. A spotter 1SE Brookings reported this gust at 28/1725 PST. The Curry Coastal Pilot newspaper reported that a 60 foot fir tree on Pacific Avenue was knocked over by a wind gust. Lightning and penny size hail was reported in Port Orford and Gold Beach. Power outages were also reported.
