A cold front swept across Northeastern Pennsylvania after midnight on the 12th. This front helped push out the rain showers from remnants of Tropical System Nicole. However, a line of storms and gusty winds were observed along the front edge of this front. Multiple reports of downed trees and power lines occurred in Bradford County.

Heavy Snow. Snow accumulated 3 to 10 inches. The heavy snow caused trees and powers lines to fall, resulting in approximately 10,000 customers without power.

A late-season winter storm impacted Northeastern Pennsylvania in mid-April. Snow-to-liquid ratios were low resulting in heavy snowfall. Snowfall totals exceeded a foot in some locations. The heavy snow brought down trees and powerlines resulting in widespread power outages. Thunderstorms developed during the heat of the afternoon over portions of Northeast Pennsylvania. One of these storms became severe and produced some tree and power line damage in Pike County. Also, lightning from an early afternoon thunderstorm struck four people, causing two fatalities and two injuries.
