Power outage planned in Troy for two hours on Saturday | WRGB
National Grid has scheduled an outage for parts of Troy on Saturday. The outage will affect homes and businesses along portions of Congress Street, Pawling Avenue, Pinewoods Avenue, Spring Avenue, and adjacent side streets from 11:00 a. m. until 1:00 p. m. A total of 1,041 customers will be affected. A map of affected properties is available here. A list of affected properties is here. The City is coordinating with National Grid to minimize the impact of the outage.

After postponing their planned power outage in the City of Troy last weekend, National Grid had plans to go forward with cutting over 1,000 customers' electricity this Saturday, January 29. With temperatures expected to dip as low as 14 degrees this weekend, and a nor'easter forecasted across the Capital Region, City Council President Carmella Mantello has once again asked the utility company to reschedule.

National Grid has postponed the planned power outage in Troy from January 22 to January 29. This comes after Troy City Council President, Carmella Mantello, emailed a request to National Grid asking to change the date of the power outage or set up a warming shelter for people in need.
