A trough of low pressure led to the development of a round of showers and thunderstorms. Some of thunderstorms became severe with damaging winds. Power was knocked out to a few thousand customers across the state.

June 30, 2015

Strong to severe thunderstorms that produced damaging winds and large hail affected northwest New Jersey during the late afternoon on the 30th. Warren County took the brunt of the severe storms which formed near a warm frontal boundary that slowly lifted northeast into New York State that evening. About 8,000 homes and businesses lost power in Warren County. There were still about 4,500 outages on the morning of July 1st.

July 27, 2014

A weakening line of thunderstorms moved across the Delaware River into New Jersey during the late evening and overnight on the 27th. While most of the storms were weakening, one thunderstorm became severe and caused wind damage in Burlington County. In addition, lightning caused about 10,000 homes and businesses to lose power and ignited a shed fire in Southampton Township (Burlington County).

A severe thunderstorm knocked down several trees and power lines mainly across the southern half of Warren County. The worst reported wind damage was in and around Washington Township.
