Pinellas Park Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
Broadcast media reported power lines down on Park Boulevard and on Bryan Dairy Road in Pinellas Park.
A waterspout that developed over the Tampa Bay near the west end of the Gandy Bridge came onshore as a tornado near the Weedon Island Power Plant. The 911 Call Center reported multiple trees down, a dock pushed against a house, and a lanai damaged on 87th Avenue in Saint Petersburg.
Damage was reported by the public to an awning and powerlines. Wind gusts were estimated to be 40 to 50 MPH with the storm.
Thunderstorm winds pushed over a gas station roof covering the pumps near 49th Street and 110th Avenue and fallen trees brought down power lines just to the west on 52nd Street.
The St. Petersburg Times reported that thunderstorm winds caused scattered downed trees, branches and powerlines from Pinellas Park to Clearwater.
