In addition to a wind gust of 49 mph at the Chetek regional airport at 9:55 PM LST, there were numerous reports of downed large trees and power lines. Cumberland regional airport had a wind gust of 51 mph at 8:50 PM LST.

Trees were downed along a seven mile swath into Rice Lake. A few trees were downed along 14th Street, with two blocking the road. Another tree was felled near 23rd Avenue and 13th Street, with another one blocking the southbound lane of 18th Street. Six to eight inch diameter tree felled in Rice Lake. Most of the northern portion of Rice Lake without power for several hours due to downed power lines. A storm spotter measured 60 mph at his residence in Rice Lake.

A complex of thunderstorms that developed across the Northern Plains Wednesday evening, quickly moved across Minnesota, and into west central Wisconsin during the morning of Thursday, September 4th. Several reports of downed trees and power lines from Rice Lake to Ladysmith occurred as these storms moved through.
