Seagraves Power Outages Caused by Weather

A thunderstorm that moved across Gaines County knocked down power lines and trees throughout the city of Seagraves. Additional power lines were down 3 miles south of Seagraves on FM 1429.
The West Texas Mesonet site one mile southwest of Seagraves (KSGV) recorded a wind gust of 76 mph. Trees and power lines were downed, roofs were damaged and horse trailers were flipped over. A tree limb went through a company vehicle.
