Shelbyville Power Outages Caused by Weather

Multiple trees and powerlines downed by thunderstorm wind gusts. The storm caused over 2500 power outages across the county.
Mature tree snapped at base by thunderstorm wind gust. A few power lines and poles were blown over. Large segment of metal barn roof blown off. Several branches blown down. All of these occurred around the intersection of County Road 325 West and 800 North.
Numerous trees and power poles blown over or snapped due to thunderstorm wind gusts within Shelbyville and nearby communities.
Trees were reported down all over Shelby County due to ice accumulations. Power was also reported to be out in spots. Large tree branches and power lines were reported to be down in Shelbyville as well.
The Shelby County Sheriff Department was on scene with trees downed on County Road 900 South due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts. The trees were large enough to require chainsaws for removal. Power lines are also affected and damaged.
