Several hours of severe non-thunderstorm winds resulted in numerous reports of downed trees and limbs, powerlines, and roof and property damage across all of DeKalb County. Damages are estimated.

February 14, 2021 - Winter Storm

Freezing rain brought ice accumulations up to 1/2 inch across De Kalb County, resulting in dozens of downed trees, power lines, and power poles. Some trees, power lines, and power poles fell onto homes and blocked numerous roads. Damage estimates from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency reached 379,000 dollars.

Powers been out on McMinnville Hwy Smitville Tn since 1:45am it’s now 3:19. Christmas Eve. When will it be back on???

Highland St. has been without power around hour.It is 3:06 am.I have an elderly mother that needs oxygen to sleep and it’s also starting to get really cold inside already.Does anyone know what’s going on and if the power will be back on soon?
