October 12, 2021 - Tornado

A tornado developed about 6 miles east-southeast of Snyder to the south of U.S. Highway 62. It quickly became a large tornado as it moved sporadically north and northeast before crossing into Comanche County about 3 miles north of US-62. In Kiowa County, the tornado produced tree and power pole damage.

The tornado that originally began in northwest Hardeman County Texas moved into Kiowa County from Tillman County and finally ended it's 40-mile path about 3 miles east of Snyder. Damage in Kiowa County was confined to broken power poles along US-183 south of Snyder and US-62 just southeast of Snyder and to trees.

Thousands lose power in Sonoma County outages

Electricity is fully restored after thousands of homes and businesses in the Healdsburg, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa and Windsor areas lost power in two major outages Monday morning.
