A severe thunderstorm knocked down several trees in northeastern and eastern Bucks County. Trees were knocked down in both directions on Pennsylvania State Route 32 in Yardley Borough and in Lower Makefield Township. The roadway was blocked into the 26th in Lower Makefield Township. Two downed trees also crushed two vehicles. No injuries were reported. Both Bucks and Chester Counties took the brunt of the power outages (45,000) in PECO Energy's service area.

Thousands Without Power After Strong Winds Topple Trees, Poles

Thousands of residents in southern Lehigh, southern Northampton and upper Bucks counties were without power Friday morning, after a powerful storm system producing wind gusts of 55 mph or greater, toppling trees and utility poles throughout the area.
