Stockton Airport recorded 1.46 inches of rain which was the daily record for October 13th. This broke the previous record of 0.76 inches set in 1962. The heavy rain caused numerous storm drains to clog and resulted in local street flooding.||Wind gusts up to 49 mph were recorded at Stockton Airport on the 13th. Numerous trees, large tree branches, and power lines were reported down which resulted in power outages to at least 9,000 customers in San Joaquin County.

Warm and wet system brought periods of heavy rain with flooding. Snow levels were high, with 1 to 2 feet of snow accumulating above 6,500 feet, locally more on higher peaks. Heavy rain on already saturated areas fell bringing additional roadway flooding, as well as local mudslides. Evacuations were ordered in San Joaquin County due to flooding. Thunderstorms with large hail, strong damaging winds and funnel clouds were reported. Strong winds gusting to 40 to 58 mph brought down trees and powerlines across the area, causing power outages.
An atmospheric river event beginning early December 11th brought periods of heavy rainfall, flooding from overly saturated grounds and high river/stream water levels, and heavy snow above 7000 ft. Windy conditions persisted through the event, causing trees and tree branches to fall down and localized power outages affecting hundreds of thousands of homes across Northern California. Snowfall of 1 to 2 feet caused travel problems at Sierra passes. Winds were reported to reach as high as 50-60 mph in the valley/foothill region, and over 100 mph in the mountains. |On December 22, Governor Brown declared a state of emergency for heavy rain, flooding and wind damage in counties including Tehama, Lake, Shasta, and Yolo.
A powerful Pacific storm brought widespread winds gusting to 60 mph and in some areas to more than 80 mph across interior Northern California, causing extensive damage and numerous power outages. Rainfall and liquid equivalent amounts ranged from 2 to 3 inches in the northern Central Valley and 4 to 11 inches in the mountains of Shasta County. Snowfall totals of 3 to 11 feet were reported in the northern Sierra Nevada Mountains, with winds up to and possibly exceeding 100 mph coupled with heavy snow bringing blizzard conditions.
