Tuba City Power Outages Caused by Weather

October 5, 2006 - Thunderstorm Wind

Sustained winds of 60 to 70 MPH with higher gusts were reported in Tuba City. Roof toops were blown off some houses and windows were blown out of a grocery store. Structure damage and minor injuries from airborne debris were reported from severe straight line winds. Many small branches, and some branches, and a few trees were toppled from the winds. The damage covered a broad path of about two miles wide across Tuba City. Power was knocked out from Page to Tuba City to Kayenta.
