Tropical Storm. There was a mandatory evacuation for the county. Many trees and power lines were blown down across the county. Homes and business were damaged from trees falling on them or wind. Over 40 percent of the county was without power immediately after the storm. Wind gusts ranged from 35 to 70 mph across the county.

August 26, 2020

Thunderstorm Wind. Power lines were downed by winds along Highway 287 west of Chester.

January 11, 2020

Thunderstorm Wind. Widespread tree and power line damage occurred around Woodville. Many trees had large branches broken or were up rooted. The vast majority of the trees fell to the east. One mobile home had a tree fall onto it just west of Woodville and the occupant was injured when the tree fell. A building near the intersection of Highway 69 and North Charlton had roofing material removed along with windows blown out.

April 27, 2016

Thunderstorm Wind. Strong storms moved into Tyler County before sunrise on the 4th. Multiple reports were received of trees and power lines down from north of Wildwood to Hillister and to near Fred. One mobile home had the roof removed during the event.

Thunderstorm Wind. Numerous trees were downed including one that fell on a vehicle along Spring Valley Road from a passing storm. Power was also knocked out to the area hospital.
