Winter Storm. Sleet, freezing rain, and freezing drizzle began in the county near 11 am on January 15. The accumulation of ice by that evening forced the closing of most roads and streets. Schools, offices, and business remained closed through January 16 and delayed their openings on the following day. Utilities indicated only minor problems with power outages.
