Thunderstorm Wind. Strong thunderstorm winds ranging from 50-70 mph moved across the northern portions of Anderson County. According to the summary report from local EMs:|A home on St Hwy 19N between Bradford and Bois D'Arc sustained wind damage to the back patio (metal roof torn up), tin off the barn, and huge tree branch in driveway that pulled down power meter/line at this location.||A home in the 4200 block of FM 860 had a large tree uprooted in the front yard that did damage to the front of the porch area of the home.||A home on FM 2706 had metal from the barn blown across the yard and onto neighbor property. Large tree was knocked down in the driveway. ||Several trees down across ACR 462, 463, 2601, 489, 458, 2101, 441. FM roads affected with trees down were FM 860, 837, 2330, 19.||Frankston had trees/powerlines down at ACR 309, 307, Lakeview MH park, 296 Kickapoo and FM 19 and ACR 322.||Trees and power lines were down on Hwy 19N in the Bradford/Montalba area as well.

Extreme Cold/Wind Chill. Extreme cold gripped the county for several days. Overnight lows were near or below 25 degrees Fahrenheit almost all week. The period of February 15-16th was the coldest with low temperatures between 3 and -6 degrees Fahrenheit. The maximum temperature on the 15th was only in the lower teens. Wind chill values during the 14th-16th were between 10 to -10 degrees Fahrenheit most of the time. The cold temperatures resulted in an extreme amount of damage to pipes, infrastructure, and power.
