Skywarn-trained weather spotters and members of the general public observed ice accumulations from freezing rain ranging from 0.13 to 0.25 inches in thickness across portions of Bland County, including around the communities of Long Spur and Rocky Gap. Sleet accumulations of 1 to 1.4 inches were also observed in these same communities. The icing resulted in at least 1,334 known power outages within the county.
