High Wind. High winds blew numerous trees and several power lines down across the county. Additionally, a roof was blown off a mobile home in Richlands. Damage values are estimated.

Winter Storm. Skywarn-trained weather spotters observed ice accumulations from freezing rain ranging from 0.10 to 0.25 inches in thickness across portions of Tazewell County, including around the communities of Tipton, Asberrys and Bluefield. Sleet accumulations of 0.5 to 1.2 inches were also observed in these same communities. Key impacts: power outages; hazardous travel conditions; tree damage; schools closed.

Thunderstorm Wind. Thunderstorm winds blew down multiple power lines about four miles northwest of Tazewell.

High Wind. Several trees were blown down across the county, with one tree bringing down a few power lines with it. In addition, a mesonet site near Burkes Garden, VA recorded a wind gust of 62 miles per hour.
