Straight line winds blew trees and power lines down from near Vanndale to Cherry Valley. A volunteer fire truck was blown off the road due to the winds. The Farmers Co-op and the post office in Cherry Valley sustained minor damage.
Straight line winds knocked down power lines in Vanndale and across the rest of Cross County. In addition, some structural damage occurred in Vanndale including two mobile homes and a farm shop. One person received minor injuries from the storm.

Today officials with the Wynne Economic Development Corporation and Entergy Arkansas announced completion of the utility’s Select Site certification for the 37-acre Wynne Highway 1 industrial site, located 11 miles north of Interstate 40 on Arkansas Highway 1.

As of 4 p.m., statewide outages have been reduced to 3,540 customers. Over 86,000 customer outages have been restored, totaling 95% of customers who experienced an outage in the last few days.
