Warrington Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage in a couple of pockets of Warrington Township. Trees were knocked down along County Line Road near Falls Road. A downed wire caused a power surge at the Hampton Inn along Pennsylvania State Route 611 and Kelly Road. The surge caused an electrical fire and the inn was evacuated for about an hour. The top of a large tree was sheared off on Pennsylvania State Route 611 near Bristol Road. Other large tree limbs were also knocked down in the area and damaged a couple of vehicles. One downed limb broke the window of a gift shop. The severe thunderstorm also knocked down some bricks from an abandoned dwelling.
