October 11, 2018 - Tropical Storm

A National Weather Service survey consisting of an analysis of measured wind data, along with reports from Emergency Managers and various other local, state and federal officials, found that tropical storm conditions occurred in the county. There were numerous reports of trees and power lines blown down. Wind speeds were estimated between 30 and 40 mph.

The Wilkes County Emergency Manager reported multiple trees and power lines blown down along Lundburg Road and Branham Road south of Washington. One tree fell onto and destroyed a well house at a home on Branham Road.

My wife and I are both in our eighties. My wife has a serious lung problem, and is on a nebulizer , and other breathing equipment 4 times or more per day With this hot weather her breathing is seriously compromised. We have no air conditioning due to the power outage, which has now been out for 19 HOURS. WE NEED HElp NOW...PLEASE. ALSO MY NEIGHBORS HAVE POWER,..I DON'T UNDERSTAND. my phone is 586-207-1707
