The emergency manager for Saint Landry Parish reported numerous trees and power lines down in Washington.
NWS Storm Survey found severe microburst wind damage along a 2 mile long by 250 yard wide path about 1 mile east of Nuba. A new exit sign on I-49 was blown onto the east service road at the beginning of the path. Twelve large 1 to 3 ton storage buildings, each worth up to $10K, were damaged or destroyed along I-49 at Bay Ridge Road. Debris from the storage buildings was blown up to 100 yards away. Three nearby homes along Bay Ridge Road lost several shingles and a barn received roof damage. Along Highway 743, large tree limbs were blown up to 200 yards away into a pond at a Walmart Distribution Center. Further to the east, a swingset was wrapped around a tree at a home along Highway 743. Numerous trees and power lines were blown down all along the path. Winds were estimated around 90 mph.

My wife and I are both in our eighties.
