One to two inches of sleet resulted in widespread travel disruption across northern and western portions of Crittenden County. Up to one-half inch of ice resulted in tree and power line damage along with power outages in southern and eastern Crittenden County.
Around one-quarter inch of ice accumulated on trees and elevated surfaces. A few trees and powerlines were knocked down with scattered power outages. Numerous tree limbs were broken and a few traffic accidents occurred.

Episodes
A powerful cold front raced across the Mid-South during the morning hours of March 3, 2023. Strong winds ahead of the front caused scattered damage across northeast Mississippi. Storms developed along the cold front producing damaging winds across northeast Mississippi and a weak tornado in Itawamba County, Mississippi. Behind the departing cold front, a very tight pressure gradient developed resulting in high winds across the Mid-South through the afternoon hours on March 3rd. Winds gusted to over 60 mph at times producing damage across the Mid-South.
Strong high pressure quickly built into the Mid-South behind a strong area of low pressure located over the Ohio Valley during the afternoon hours on February 1st, 2011. Strong gradient winds occurred across the area as a result. Trees and power lines were knocked down and roof damage occurred to a few buildings across Eastern Arkansas.
A cold front moved through the Mid-South during the early morning hours of October 26th, 2010. Strong gradient winds occurred ahead of the front which caused some trees and power lines to fall.
Precipitation ahead of a warm front fell in the form of freezing rain and sleet during the evening hours of January 5th, 2009 into the early morning hours of January 6th, 2009. Ice accumulations were between a tenth of an inch to a half inch in the area of East Central Arkansas. Trees and power lines were covered and some power outages occurred. Roads were slick and several accidents were reported.
