A severe thunderstorm tore down scores of trees in Willingboro Township. A few fell on homes, vehicles and wires and damaged them. A family on Pennypack Drive was displaced because of damage from a downed tree. Some trees and wires were also knocked down in neighboring Burlington Township and Burlington City. About 20,000 homes and businesses lost power from the pair of severe thunderstorms that moved through the county that afternoon and evening.
A severe thunderstorm tore down a few trees and wires in Willingboro and included downed trees onto power lines on Charleston Road. Commuter train sevrvice was halted along the River Line after a downed tree fell on the tracks just north of the Beverly/Edgewater Park station.
