Power Outage in Meadow Creek, WV

High Wind. Wind gusts blew two trees down, one on Big Creek Road, three miles south of Hix, and the other one miles south-southeast of Elton. Additionally, wind gusts blew a power line down three miles northwest of Glenray. Damage values are estimated.

Thunderstorm Wind. A few power lines downed by thunderstorm winds on Interstate 64 at mile marker 143.

Winter Storm. A Skywarn-trained weather spotter and a member of the general public observed ice accumulations from freezing rain of 0.25 inches in thickness across portions of Summers County, including around the communities of Indian Mills and Pipestem. Sleet accumulations of 0.5 to 1 inches were observed in these same communities. Key impacts: power outages; hazardous travel conditions; tree damage; schools closed.

Thunderstorm Wind. Multiple trees and power lines were blown down by severe thunderstorms winds. Trees were reported down along the intersection of West Virginia Routes 3 and 12 and along Valley Heights Road.

Thunderstorm Wind. Thunderstorm winds blew down numerous trees across the county, including near Jumping Branch. The trees closed several roads and knocked down several power lines.
