Canyon ISD: Gene Howe Elementary students moved due to power outage | KVII

Canyon Independent School District said it had to move students from Gene Howe Elementary to Heritage Hills Elementary due to a power outage in the area on Thursday morning. According to the district, all students are safe and instruction will be resumed at Heritage Hills. Xcel Energy said the school's main power feed that runs through an underground cable failed. The company said it is working to replace the cable but it will take longer than replacing an overhead line.
