Arnold Power Outages Caused by Weather

Thunderstorm winds caused widespread damage across northern Jefferson County. In High Ridge, five large trees were blown down. In Arnold, numerous trees were blown down as well as tree limbs and power lines. Also, a semi was blown over in the Walmart parking lot in Arnold and a nearby fireworks tent was torn apart with merchandise blown all over the area. Several business signs were destroyed as well.

In Arnold, a large maple tree was blown over onto a house. The house suffered damage to the awning and gutters before rolling off the slanted roof. Just southwest of Festus a tree was blown down onto Route CC. Several unoccupied vehicles sustained damage from fallen trees and tree limbs.
