Belle Chasse Power Outages Caused by Weather

Two power poles were blown down by thunderstorm winds near Louisiana Highway 23 and Adam Drive in the Jesuit Bend area.
Damage in Belle Chasse was in line with the storm in the Gretna area. Trees and power lines were blown down and structures received minor damage. A NWS Storm Survey showed straight line winds of 100 mph and were associated with a strong inflow notch radar signature.
Power lines were downed on Omega Drive. Report was relayed by emergency manager. Time of report based on radar and surface observations.
A tornado moved out of Jefferson Parish northeastward into Plaquemines Parish where about 25 homes and several trees and power lines were damaged from the Bertrandville area to near Braithwaite. The tornado continued to move northeast into St. Bernard Parish.
