A cluster of thunderstorms moved across a portion of northeast Lower Michigan during the overnight hours on the 28th. The wind gusts associated with these thunderstorms downed numerous trees and power lines.

About 30 residents and 10 Consumers Energy officials attended a community meeting at Plymouth Park in Midland to discuss the reason for numerous recent power outages and what the company is doing about the problem.
Ward 4 Councilwoman Diane Brown Wilhelm and Ward 5 Councilman Marty Wazbinski hosted the meeting; their wards have been especially hard hit by outages.
