September 25, 2022 - Thunderstorm Wind

Large tree limbs were downed by thunderstorm winds near the intersection of Virginia Highway 24 and the city of Evington. A few live power lines were also downed by thunderstorm winds, and blocked both lanes of Colonial Highway between Hazel Drive and Clinton Drive.

One tree reported down due thunderstorm winds along the Norfolk Southern railroad line. One power line also reported down in the same area due to thunderstorm winds.

Several trees were blown down by thunderstorm winds across the southwest part of the county. One was on Route 626, another at the 100 block of Route 712 and another on Route 628. Power lines were also downed by some of these trees.
