Multiple trees blown down in Franklin. Multiple power lines blown down across Franklin County and several transformers knocked out.
The combination of an extended period of light freezing precipitation and frequent gusts over 50 MPH resulted in power outages across the area.
Damage reports included tree limbs knocked down, a couple power poles knocked over resulting in power outages, roof and carport damage in town, and a storage unit damage approximately 2 miles south of town.

Storm activity in central Nebraska has caused numerous downed power lines and power outages. The City of Kearney’s Public Works Department issued an emergency road closure from 11th Street from Avenue M to the Cherry Avenue bypass until further notice due to damaged electrical power lines. Hastings Utilities said all of its line crews are currently out dealing with widespread outages, with a larger focus on the west side of Westbrook Village as well as Good Samaritan Village and Juniata.
