Hurricane Sally made landfall early on the morning of September 16 across Gulf Shores Alabama. The greatest impacts to the tri-state area came in the form of very heavy rain and significant flooding on and away from area rivers. However, some tropical storm force winds also occurred across the area and resulted in some trees and power lines blown down.
Episodes
A strong cold front moved through the region during the afternoon hours of March 17th. A squall line preceded the front, resulting in a few instances of trees and power lines down across the tri-state area. In addition, a few tornadoes occurred across the Florida panhandle. Fortunately, these tornadoes impacted forested areas and no structures.
An isolated, brief severe storm developed in Geneva county with damage to power lines in the western portion of the county.
The outer bands of Tropical Storm Cindy affected the area during the early morning hours of June 22nd with a few trees blown down onto power lines.
A line of storms affected the tri-state area during the evening hours of May 12th. Most of the storms stayed in Florida, but a few clipped Geneva county with impacts to trees and power lines.
After a very active January, another strong system moved through the tri-state region on February 7th. Although no tornadoes were reported, there were numerous reports of trees and power lines blown down.

No power north county line road
All power out at Austin manor trailer park
No power on North Myers Road Geneva Ohio 44041. Power went out just after 7:00 pm. Had seen the Utilities Company service Trucks @ North Myers & Lake Road. By 11:00 pm Trucks were gone and Power Restored to ( Some ) on North Myers. So the House next to me on the North side & the House next to me on the South Side,all 3 of us on the West Side of North Myers Road. They have Power and I Still do not. So why is that? I don't Understand how that can be ! Does anyone else know why that is.? Vernon
