March 6, 2017 - Tornado

A tornado touched down west of Grandview Iowa, and broke off wooden power poles about 3 feet off the ground as well as uprooting a few trees and breaking tree limbs. A semi was blown into a ditch in the same area.

Wind gusts estimated to be 65 mph blew down a 3 foot diameter tree in Grandview, IA at 336 pm CDT July 23. A power outage was also observed in town.

The power has been off since 9:am this morning at the Walmart distribution center in Grandview. Delivery trucks are lined up for over a mile, and the stop lights from the freeway offramp are also out with people running through the intersections without stopping.
