Trees on Route 47 in Hadley were downed by thunderstorm winds. In Amherst, trees and wires on Mill Valley, Moody Bridge, and Chapel Roads and East Pleasant, Mechanic and East Maple Streets were downed by thunderstorm winds. One of these trees was downed onto a car. Two water treatment plants were also damaged in the resulting power loss in Amherst.
