Trees and power lines were blown down in the City of Harrisonburg, including a tree and wires down on Valley Street. A 20-foot tall cherry tree was blown down near Mount Crawford. Trees were blown down in Purcell Park.

Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and high winds moved across Rockingham, Greene, and Madison County between 4 and 8 PM EDT on the 12th. In Rockingham County, trees were downed in Harrisonburg. Heavy rainfall flooded roads in Elkton and elsewhere across the eastern portion of the county. Lighting started a house fire near Bridgewater. In Greene County, winds in excess of 55 MPH caused property damage on Middle River Road in Standardsville. At Echo Valley Farm, several trees were downed and a wood and tin shed was destroyed. Airborne wood from the shed crashed through a kitchen window and the windshield of a car. Heavy rainfall flooded roads and bridges countywide. In Madison County, many trees were downed and power and phone services were interrupted. Up to 5 inches of rain flooded roads. A total of 2.90 inches of rain was reported at Big Meadows on Skyline Drive.

Scattered thunderstorms moved across the central Shenandoah Valley between 300 and 530 PM EDT on the 6th. One storm that moved across Rockingham and extreme southern Page County produced winds in excess of 55 MPH. In Rockingham County, power lines were downed in Harrisonburg and Port Republic. In Page County, a microburst of wind estimated between 60 and 70 MPH damaged several buildings in Jollett Hollow about 5 miles east of Shenandoah. The wind damage began at a small clearing adjacent to Jollett Road (Route 759) just south of Naked Creek Baptist Church. The damage path continued northeast onto private property where part of a roof was blown off a home and a car port was removed from its foundation. Pieces of the structure were thrown east about 100 yards onto the roof of a home. Several trees were uprooted and several outbuildings were destroyed nearby. In Greene County, heavy downpours caused low water crossings on Route 616 and 607 to flood in the southeast portion of the county.
