January 1, 2021 - Ice Storm

Numerous observers measured between 0.25 and 0.30 ice across Marshall County. The heavy ice accumulation snapped many tree branches, caused scattered power outages, and created slick and hazardous travel conditions.

November 27, 2019 - High Wind

Westerly winds increased to around 40mph with gusts of 50-60mph. Numerous large tree limbs and power lines were blown down. In addition, two semi trailers were blown over on I-39 near Wenona in northeast Marshall County.

March 7, 2017 - Thunderstorm Wind

A 2-story barn was destroyed, a cob shed was blown down, and a 4-foot diameter tree was snapped. Several power poles and power lines were blown down as well.

December 28, 2015 - Ice Storm

Weather observers across Marshall County reported ice accumulations of around 0.25. This amount of ice combined with winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph caused extensive damage to trees, power poles, and power lines. Several homes were damaged by falling trees and tree branches. About 10,000 people lost power for up to 4 days after the storm.
