Hurricane. Ida���s winds downed trees and power lines parish-wide. Most structures in the parish suffered at least minor to moderate roof or other fascia damage, and numerous buildings collapsed or suffered other major damage in the form of roof or wall failure. Nearly every road in the parish was impassable due to downed trees, power lines and poles, or other debris. There was one indirect fatality in the parish due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
